New Kind of Uranium Could Power Your Car

Jaqueline Kiplinger, a scientist at the Los Alamos National Laboratory, discovered a catalytic properties of Uranium Nitride for splitting the Carbon-hydrogen bond and hence would greatly improve the fuel efficient of petroleum. As it is not a nuclear process, radioactive insert Uranium can be used.

However using Uranium in this situation is NOT using nuclear power. It is chemical energy and Uranium nitride is only a catalysis. [Note: abcnews.go.com above seems to imply it is nuclear power and linked a video of Obama talking about nuclear power plant in the article. This is wrong!]
